everyone is just an actor that produces a feed of posts: that is to say, no one is inherently greater or lesser than anyone else. This ugly truth deeply troubles narcissists and con artists and is the main driver for drama in our community.
If you haven't already understood that social networking only means two things -- (a) you choose who you follow and who follows you, (b) you choose what you see and don't see --
then you can be forgiven for your ignorance but understand, going forward, that developers telling you that it means anything else are lying to you.
The duties of an instance host are twofold:
* bridging nodes of the network together,
* keeping his node(s) alive.
The role a client developer should serve is:
* eliminating barriers between network & users
Nothing more, nothing less. Instance hosts should not be seen as kings or gods, but rather, as janitors.
